Sneha Abhiyan mostly working in the disaster prone areas such as Cyclone, Tsunami and Floods.Since 1999 Super cyclone, Sneha Abhiyan has been responding the disaster in Jagatsinghpur district.Snehaabhiyan has reached around 50000 familes with relief kits through the support of several donor agencies. The Sneha Abhiyan Team keep on desseminatingEarly warning in all coastal villages during any alert as per government guidelines. Sneha Abhiyan team facilitatesthe managements of Cyclone shelter along with shelter management committees during the disasters.
Sneha Abhiyan nurtures community resilience by enhancing their capacity through training, Village Contingency planning, task force formation, School Disaster management plan, and facilitation of mock drills.
Sneha Abhiyan has provided trainings to various stakeholders including elected representatives on Community Contingency planning, task force formation & training, School safety program,facilitation of mock drills and Disaster Management Act 2005.
Sneha Abhiyan, a non-governmental, non-profit organization registered under Society Registration Act 1860, is set up to develop and implement solutions that balance the need for food, shelter, rights, income and environmental quality prescribed for all.
